I planned this artwork to immerse the audience in the artwork by incorporating my emotions into the form of water.
.
Many viewers tend to show interest in artworks with movement or sound. While observing the majority of the audience shifting their attention towards works that involve movement or sound, I contemplated on this experience and raised a question. Why do viewers who come to see art exhibitions find interest in works that involve movement or sound? In my opinion, it’s because rather than observing static works by moving their feet, viewers approach the artwork through their ears and feel intrigued by it.
.
Works with movement provide viewers with a more visually engaging experience, allowing them to focus on details and observe closely. Based on this fact, I added movement to my own work to further captivate the audience and draw them in.
.
Continuing with water-related works, I closely observed water in more external and detailed ways. Water easily undergoes changes and presents various forms. I believed that these changes occur easily due to physical factors and that water shares similarities with human characteristics. I thought that the process of people adapting and changing within society is closely akin to water. Utilizing this aspect, I sought to incorporate the diverse appearances of water and express depth through repetitive movements and color changes. By adding movement, the audience can become more immersed in the artwork, creating a sense that they are drawn into the artwork.
